As a Borrower, Mercedes is a mere six inches tall, and she lives in the walls of a rented house in the countryside. A young woman moves in while on medical leave, and Mercedes quickly realizes that Byleth is inattentive, accident-prone, and totally oblivious to what is around her. As Mercedes struggles to keep Byleth safe, however, she catches feelings that she knows will never be requited.
